Meeting Minutes

September 9, 2019

Present:  Dan Failacci, Trish Abell, Kate & Erik Dudash, Mike Hillman, Kim Stevens, Greg & Theresa Anderson, Jaclyn Smith, Dana Cunningham, Nick Gasemy, Kathy Higinbotham, Courtnay Lott-Gray, Traci Poppert
       
Call to Order
Meeting began at 7:35 pm and was presided over by Mike Hillman, with Dan Failacci as secretary.

Approval of Previous Minutes:
August Booster Meeting minutes approved (Kate/Theresa).  

Disney:
Deposit due 9/12 – NOT LATE FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • Expecting final cost to be a little lower than projected
  • Next step is to get airfare once we know the final head count
  • Non chaperone hotel fee is $700 (not $750)
  • You will receive an invoice for everything – statement after each payment
President’s Report:  Executive Board met for September.  
  • Budget reviewed as always

Vice President’s Report:  
  • Band Picnic – Again thanks to Jill & Missy and all the helpers
  • Senior night 10/18.  Krista Allen-Bossaller heading up again this year.  Emails will be coming out
Secretary:
  • Don’t forget to sign in  
Treasurer:    
  • See attached budget
  • As always, ask Dana for specific details/questions.
  • August - $22.4k in/$9.1k out 
    • Business Misc – $171.08 registration for the small trailer and some postage for selling of old uniforms.
    • Camp diners in $2k/ out $1.8k – extra goes towards dinners for Nationals
Directors Report:  (Mr. Gasemy)
  • Things going well.  Kids worked really hard last Saturday.  Worked on part 1 last week and part 2 this week.
  • Disposing of the old frames this week.
  • Working on “cleaning up” around the band area of the school.  Lots of things tucked away in various places.
  • Saturday show – start time noon for rehearsal.  Bring snacks for the bus – we may not have time to go back in for concessions.  Make sure you HYDRATE!!!
  • Doug sent out info for the pit crew
Student Accounts:
  • Cannot sign up for Disney if you owe any fees in your account. Kathy has balances if you need to know before 9/12
Committee Reports

Fundraising:
  • Not selling mattresses this year – going to do monthly restaurant nights instead.
    • 9/18 – Manhattan Pizza (20% of every sale from 4-9pm).  Will go out through Find Out First as well.  Just say “Marching band”
    • October – Oscars Ale House (will be all day) – get 10% of days profit + silent auction
    • November – Nidos/Wine Tasting
    • Working on 2 nights for Chick-Fil-A
  • Pictures – a lot of kids did not have their envelope, but you will be able to order online.  Senior posters are being donated for senior night.  Information will be sent out with the details.
  • Individual coupon “card” instead of books this year - $20.  In printing now
  • Greenery/Mixed bag/Sheets/SCRIP are all individual fundraisers
  • SCRIP ongoing
Uniform Report:
  • Uniforms are done
  • Senior shirt/jackets should be in soon
  • Laura Busch/Carla Moran to take over uniform room next year
Pit Crew report:
  • All the bases are covered for this week
  • Tailgate theme – MEXICAN
Chaperones:  
  • List coming out.  Still spots available for football games.
