Concert Band

About the Program

The Concert Band is a Spring Semester offered course that allows students to continue their knowledge of concert repertoire and performance skills from Middle and Elementary School. Through fundamental skill development, basic Music Theory, and ensemble development, an impressive concert ensemble is built that plays classic wind band literature as well as newer works and popular arrangements to give the students a highly diverse experience in music. The ensemble performs at our Spring Concert every year with our Symphonic Orchestra and Choir programs as well as TJ's Graduation at the end of the school year. The ensemble also performs at the Frederick County Public Schools Adjudication Festival every year and has been invited to perform many times at the Maryland State Adjudication Festival in Baltimore, Maryland. The Concert Band is under the direction of Mr. Nicholas Gasemy.

In the Fall, the Marching Band turns into the Concert Band at the end of the regular competitive Marching Season and perform on the Winter Concert with the String Orchestra and Choir.
